Ideas on “go green” games for kids age 5-15?
I am a planner for a non-profit corporate event with the theme “Go Green”. We have plenty of ideas on entertainment and education for the adults of the group. However, we are looking for ideas to keep the kids busy for a couple of hours, as well as educating them on “green” principles.
Does anyone have ideas of “green” games that kids would enjoy? We have a few ideas (making recycled paper, the recycleable toss, conservation guessing game, dizzy bat trash cleanup) but are looking for a few more.
Possible topics include: energy and water conservation, wildlife and biodiversity, sustainable communities, buying locally made goods, composting, reuse, and how to speak out on environmental issues.
Please help me brainstorm.
Thanks!
Great Idea with the puzzle….teaching the innerconnectivity of all life. Thanks!
That’s a hard one…
Maybe somehow make a giant puzzle and have it be pictures of endangered animals or animals effected by the environmental issues like polar bears etc…Kids usually get into helping out animals
Give out a prize to the kid who brings the most recyclables to the event (if you have a place to put it)
If you could borrow a smart car or one of those go-kart looking cars that might be fun
on a side note rechargeable batteries are the greatest thing for people with kids i can’t tell you how much money you save with all those kid toys….
