how To Save Energy while using a lamp?
im currently doin an assignment on Saving Energy on different appliances & i cant find much on kettles or lamps. Can someone please help me find out How To Save Energy while using a lamp (20W halogen lamp). & also kettles. Websites would be good to show as well. thank – you (:
Without changing the bulb or type of kettle or lamp..
The first rule would be to turn it off when not needed.
If you contemplate changing equipment.. you can get energy efficient light bulbs like CFLs or better yet, LEDs, both use significantly less energy to produce light primarily because neither put out as much heat as a byproduct.
For your kettle.. get one that is well insulated (there is only so much you can do with an electric kettle– a heating filament is a heating filament). That way you can heat water once and use it all day without re-heating.
